EET Corporation Receives Awards from the U.S. Small Business Administration and Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure, Inc.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure (E&I), Inc. have recently recognized EET Corporation (www.eetcorp.com) with awards for outstanding performance.
Shaw E&I named EET Corporation as its Small Business of the Year for outstanding performance in support of the Toxic Substances Control Act Incinerator (TSCA) at the Oak Ridge K-25 site. EET provides waste management support to the TSCA Incinerator, which burns low-level radioactive wastes.
"EET's work managing waste at the TSCA Incinerator has helped contribute to the project's success at K-25," said Denis Fogo, Shaw's TSCA Project Manager. "We could not have found a better partner for this critical work."
Shaw E&I also nominated EET for SBA's Regional Small Business Subcontractor of the Year. This award honors small businesses that have provided the federal government with outstanding goods and services.
EET received a SBA Administrator's Award for Excellence in recognition of its "outstanding contribution and services" at a May 10 awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. The Award for Excellence is presented to small businesses nominated for consideration as Regional Prime and Subcontractors of the Year. EET and other local winners were recognized on August 7 at the Oak Ridge Business to Business Expo.
Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, EET provides waste management technologies and services. In 1997, it ranked as the 222nd fastest growing privately held company in the nation, according to the Inc. 500 listing.
