Bench-Scale Lab System

Now you can accurately, conveniently and economically explore the potential of electrodialysis for the separation/removal and/or concentration of salts in aqueous solutions. Practically any electrodialysis desalting or concentration application need is readily evaluated with EET's lab/bench-scale electrodialysis system. Those contemplating using electrodialysis for industrial wastewater, electrochemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, municipal water supply or food/beverage industry applications can use this lab/bench electrodialysis system in the comfort of their own facilities using actual feed liquids as they are generated. Based on EET's extensive electrodialysis processing experience, the technical risk of scale up from this lab/bench scale electrodialysis system to a production scale HEED® system is virtually zero.

EET provides complete laboratory scale electrodialysis systems, ready to plug and play, so your treatability studies can begin as soon as the equipment arrives.

EET's lab/bench electrodialysis system is equipped with electrodialysis stack(s) based on our patented and patents pending HEED® stack design. The standard lab/bench system includes a single electrodialysis stack with the customer-requested or EET-recommended membrane types. Additional electrodialysis stacks are optional and these can be equipped with any combination of commercially available ion exchange membranes. Contrast this with other electrodialysis system vendors that may only offer ion exchange membranes they manufacture, which may not be the optimal selection for your application.

The electrodialysis stack(s) we furnish with this versatile research and development system come equipped with quick connect plumbing fittings and can be changed in less than 5 minutes, offering users the ability to rapidly evaluate electrodialysis performance with different anion/cation ion exchange membrane combinations.

EET's lab/bench scale electrodialysis systems can also be custom designed to meet your particular needs. Standard systems are mounted on a moveable cart or may be configured to fit into your fume hood. Systems are complete and include the electrodialysis stack(s) with membranes, pumps, flow meters, C, D and E reservoirs, tubing, fittings, operations and maintenance manual, and DC power supply.

The lab/bench systems may be optionally instrumented with in-line conductivity/temperature/pH probes/flow meters/pressure meters and include automated data acquisition and data reduction capabilities. Depending on the number of treatability studies to be conducted, the additional cost of these automation features can pay for themselves quickly in labor savings.
